Our Core Agreements
To sustain a safe, healthy, and respectful community, the following rules are absolute and grounds for dismissal:
No killing anything
No ultra-processed foods on site
No factory-farmed meat
No alcohol
No drugs
No violence of any kind
No sexual activity outside of personal/private living spaces, never in shared or community areas.
Our Living Principles
We are committed to living in alignment with the Earth and each other:
Fragrance-free
Chemical-free
Zero-waste
Carbon-negative
Money-free
Food & Respect
While our community does not allow factory-farmed meat, we also do not impose veganism. If a community member—not a volunteer—chooses to hunt or fish for their own food off property, that is their personal right.
However, all meals served and shared within the community are 100% plant-based. Out of respect for our shared values and space, no animal products may be cooked or prepared in the communal kitchens. We believe this ensures respect for all members, supports health, and keeps our meals aligned with our principles of compassion and sustainability.
Our shared agreement is simple: food must come directly from the Earth, not from factories or chemical processes.
Breaches of Guidelines
We hold these standards with care and compassion, while also ensuring accountability to protect the wellbeing of the community. If a member does not follow the guidelines:
First breach – Verbal or written warning, with an opportunity to adjust and realign.
Second breach – Formal review in a Board meeting, where the situation will be discussed with fairness and transparency.
Possible outcomes – Support for adjustment, a temporary suspension, or in repeated or severe cases, removal from the community.
Belongings & Materials from Outside
To maintain a healthy, sustainable, and harmonious environment, we ask that members are mindful of the items they bring into the community. Please consider the following:
Containers – Preference is given to reusable or glass containers over single-use plastics.
Fragrances & Chemicals – Strong fragrances, synthetic chemicals, or toxic products are not permitted.
Food & Household Items – Only items that align with our plant-based, eco-conscious, and health-centered standards may be brought onto the land.
Sustainability – Whenever possible, choose materials and belongings that are biodegradable, reusable, or sustainably sourced.
Mission & Purpose
Our community exists to cultivate health, harmony, and conscious living. We are guided by respect—for ourselves, each other, and the natural world. Every rule and guideline here is a reflection of our shared values: compassion, sustainability, plant-based nourishment, and mindful coexistence. By honoring these principles, we create a space where all members can thrive, grow, and contribute positively to the collective wellbeing.
Onboarding & Welcoming Flow
To help new members feel grounded and connected, we follow a simple and supportive onboarding process:
Orientation – A short introduction to our community’s values, daily routines, and shared spaces.
Buddy System – Each newcomer is paired with a current member who can offer guidance and answer questions.
Check-ins – Regular touchpoints during the first few weeks to ensure comfort, clarity, and alignment with community practices.
This approach helps everyone settle in smoothly and fosters a sense of belonging from day one.
Privacy & Boundaries
Respecting personal boundaries is central to our community’s wellbeing. Members are expected to honor:
Physical boundaries – personal space and consent in all interactions.
Emotional boundaries – listening and responding with empathy, without judgment or intrusion.
Confidentiality – information shared within the community should remain private, unless explicit permission is given.
By honoring these boundaries, we create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for everyone.
Reporting & Moderation
We are committed to maintaining a safe and fair community. If concerns arise, members may:
Raise concerns directly – Speak to the individual involved if comfortable.
Contact a designated moderator – Reach out to a trusted community leader for guidance.
Anonymous reporting – Submit concerns confidentially if preferred.
All reports are handled with care, transparency, and respect for all parties. The goal is to address issues constructively while preserving trust and harmony within the community.
Review & Evolve Together
Our community guidelines are living principles, not fixed rules. We regularly review them and welcome input from members to ensure they reflect the evolving needs, values, and collective wisdom of the community. By participating in this process, every member helps co-create a thriving, harmonious environment.
Joining the Community; 14-Day Course
All potential members begin with a two-week course that introduces our lifestyle, principles, and daily practices. This ensures that every person has the chance to experience life here before making a deeper commitment.
Village Application
After completing the course, you may apply to become a member of the village. Acceptance requires 100% approval from the existing community.
Trial Residency
Approved applicants are invited to a 1–6 month community trial period, living and working alongside us.
Full Membership
If, at the end of the trial, the community again votes with 100% approval, you will be welcomed as a permanent member. Each new member is granted stewardship of 1 acre of land to build and garden freely, supported by the knowledge and help of the entire village.
Pets
Pets are considered on a case-by-case basis by the board. Their acceptance will depend on whether they can peacefully integrate into our community and environment.
